It’s hard to believe it’s been over two years since Rachel Urban, owner of Apricity Event Co., and her husband, Isaac Brian Orr, tied the knot in a celebration that still has us swooning. Their stunning day at Mountain Shadows, featured on Over the Moon, remains one of our favorite examples of timeless design meeting Arizona’s natural beauty.

A Venue Steeped in Desert Elegance
Nestled against the breathtaking backdrop of Camelback Mountain, Mountain Shadows provided the perfect mix of sophistication and organic charm. The couple embraced the venue’s history and scenic surroundings, using them as the foundation for their design.Cre8ive’s Favorite Details
Looking back, there are a few design moments that still make us smile:- The Seating – Our light wood chairs with modern lines and plush cushions paired perfectly with the venue’s open-air ambiance, offering both comfort and understated elegance.
- The Tablescape – Long rectangular tables draped in crisp white linens created a clean, classic canvas. We loved how the black and white plates, silver flatware, and crystal-clear glassware brought a sense of modern refinement.
- The Florals – Light yellow, white, and soft orange blooms ran delicately down the center of each table, complementing the desert palette without overpowering it.
- The Glow – As the sun set over Camelback Mountain, the tables caught the last warm light of the day, creating a romantic glow that made the entire reception feel magical.
A Lasting Impression
With fewer than 100 guests, the celebration felt deeply personal while still being visually impactful. Every design choice was intentional, proving that elegance doesn’t have to be elaborate. We’re still inspired by Rachel and Isaac’s ability to weave together a sense of place, personality, and timeless style. This wedding was more than just a beautiful day; it was a masterclass in how thoughtful design can create memories that last well beyond “I do.”
